How to Create An Online Vision Board That Works

How to create an online vision board that works | ChelseaDinen.com

It’s that time of year again! Time to create your vision for the New Year! With 2016 quickly approaching, you are most likely thinking about what you want this next year of your life to look like: which things you want to do away with, and which things you want more of. So, I’m here to help. Today we’re talking about manifesting and the Law of Attraction and I’ll break it down so that you can create your own online vision board that works!

1. Get clear on your vision

There are many different components when it comes to creating a vision board that works and this is a big one. If you’re not crystal clear on what you want your life to look and feel like, it’s not going to happen. That’s just the way the Law of Attraction works.

So, instead of saying, “I want to lose weight,” instead focus on the way it’s going to feel to be healthy and comfortable in your skin.

Instead of saying, “I want to travel to Europe,” think about the way it’s going to feel to board your flight or finally see the Amsterdam canals.

Get crystal clear on what your life is actually going to feel like when you have those things or have accomplished those goals.

The clearer you can get, the better. The Law of Attraction likes clear details. More on that below.

2. Create your online vision board

Taking all of those clear goals, dreams, and desires, find visual representations to add to your vision board.

I highly recommend creating a special board on Pinterest for your vision board. (You can follow my Pinterest boards here, if you haven’t already.)

You can make it public or secret. The important part is that you make it and that you spend a decent amount of time and energy before the New Year working on your vision board.

As far as choosing the best images for your vision, here are some recommendations using the examples above:

Images for losing weight could be anything from a new pair of workout pants you’ve had your eye on to a photo of a woman outside hiking. It could be words or quotes that embody the way you want to feel about yourself and your body. (Side note: I personally don’t encourage using photos of another person with their “ideal abs” or “body goal” on their vision board.)

Images for moving to a new city could be anything from actual apartments you’d want to live in, to what you want your new living room to look/feel like. If you want to travel, you could post quotes about new adventures that really move you or photos of places you can’t wait to see.

For example, for years, I had a photo of a street in Copenhagen saved. I even saved it as my lock screen background on my iPhone and then finally, I made that vision a reality when I recently walked along that same street in Copenhagen. See that post here!

3. Envision it like it’s already happening

The next part is to embody these aspects as though you are already living them.

If you put a new car on your vision board, envision in your mind what it’s actually going to feel like to be handed those keys and drive in your brand new car for the very first time. If you put a new job working for Google (remember, you have to be specific!) on your vision board, envision what it will feel like to walk into work every day or perhaps what the view from your desk will look like.

Believe that you already have what you want.

Again, this is part of the Law of Attraction. In order to get what you want, you must believe that you already have it.

4. Revisit your board on a regular basis

Your vision board will do you no good if you create it one day and then never look at it again. You must constantly be surrounding yourself with the images and feelings and intentions of what is on your vision board.

The good thing about creating an online vision board is that you’ll always have easy access. I love having my vision boards on Pinterest. The ease and convenience of Pinterest means that if I have a few extra minutes while waiting for an oil change, I can add something to my board. It easily allows me to look at my board every morning when I wake up to see the images and then close my eyes and envision already having what is on my vision board.

5. Take inspired action

Here’s the other thing about the Law of Attraction: If you create your vision board, and look at it each day, and envision what it will be like to have those things, but you don’t take inspired action toward them, chances are, nothing will happen.

If you want to meet your partner but walk around without making any eye contact or you completely shut yourself off from other people, what is that telling the Universe? Instead, open up your heart and send out that positive energy whenever you’re around other people. The same goes for wanting to get in shape or start your own business.

We are co-creators of our life with the Universe. The Universe WILL conspire to help us with all of our dreams and desires and visions, as long as we do our part too.

So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to Pinterest, create a new board, and start envisioning what this year is going to look like for you, adding those images, and fully believing that you CAN and WILL create what ever it is that you want most.

Keep dreaming big!
