What Minimalism Taught Me About Letting Go
Since I began adopting a minimalist mindset a couple years ago, I learned so much. Today, I’m sharing what minimalism taught me about letting go.
Minimalism (or essentialism as I often refer to when speaking of my lifestyle) is the disciplined pursuit of less.
As we begin to focus on the essential and on the absolute highest priorities of our life, we begin to let go of the rest.
We let go of what is unnecessary.
Some things are easier to let go of than others. Those tattered books we haven’t picked up in years are easy to say goodbye to, but that sentimental dress or that relationship that’s been in our life for years — they are incredibly difficult to let go of.
However, we begin to realize how much we’ve been holding onto for so long that truly no longer serves us.
